I’m Rob Mikkelsen. I’ve worked for many years to to help farmers improve their use of plant nutrients.

During my career as a soil scientist, I have had the opportunity to work for a US government research facililty, as a professor of soil science, teach hundreds of graduate students and thousands of practicing agronomists, work in leading non-profit organizations around the world, and end my working career with a major global fertilizer producer.

I have observed that there is so much soils-related information about nutrient management that is never properly applied in the field. One purpose of this website is to share some educational materials that may be useful and have a forum for communication. I hope you find it helpful.
